ChiefBriefing AI Privacy Policy

ChiefBriefing AI is a technology of Public Safety Growth Partners ("we", "us"). Public Safety Growth Partners is the data controller for personal information processed through the ChiefBriefing AI platform and website, and determines the purposes and means of that processing.

• Account information — name, work email address, password credentials, job title, and agency/department, state and county details you provide.
• Support and communications — messages you send us and our replies.
• Usage and device information — pages viewed, briefings opened, approximate timestamps, IP address, browser and device identifiers, and error logs.
• Subscription information — plan, billing cycle, subscription status and renewal dates received from our payment provider. We do not collect or store payment card numbers.

• Creating and administering accounts, and providing the platform — performance of our contract with you.
• Delivering department-relevant intelligence, briefings and notifications — performance of our contract.
• Security, fraud prevention, service monitoring, and product improvement — our legitimate interests in operating a secure and reliable service.
• Customer support — contract performance and legitimate interests.
• Marketing emails, where applicable — consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
• Tax, accounting and legal record-keeping — compliance with legal obligations.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. When you purchase a subscription, Paddle receives and processes the information needed to complete the sale — including your name, email address, billing address, country, tax identifiers where applicable, and payment method details — as an independent controller for those purposes. Paddle shares subscription status and limited order information back with us so we can provide access. Payment card details are handled by Paddle and are never stored by us. • Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, database, email delivery, AI processing and analytics providers acting on our instructions.
• Merchant of Record — Paddle.com, for the sale of subscriptions, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Professional advisers — legal, accounting and insurance advisers.
• Authorities — where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

We do not sell personal information.

ChiefBriefing AI analyzes publicly available news, government and information sources to identify developments relevant to customer departments. The platform is designed to summarize and organize public information at an aggregate, department level — not to monitor or profile private individuals. We store only the minimum metadata needed for summaries, links and trend analysis.

Account and department information is retained while your account is active and for up to 12 months after closure, so access can be restored and disputes resolved. Support correspondence is kept up to 24 months. Usage and security logs are kept up to 12 months. Order and tax records are retained for as long as required by law (typically 7 years). When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access a copy of your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, restrict or object to certain processing, receive your data in a portable format, withdraw consent, and opt out of marketing. Residents of the UK/EEA may also lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority, and residents of certain U.S. states have equivalent rights without discrimination for exercising them.

We and our providers, including Paddle, may process information in the United States and other countries. Where information is transferred from the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect account and platform information, including encryption in transit, access controls, role-based permissions and row-level database security. No system can be guaranteed fully secure.

We use essential cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure. Where we use analytics or marketing cookies, they are optional and you can manage them through your browser settings or any cookie controls we provide. Paddle may set cookies during checkout to process your order.

The platform is intended for public-safety professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The effective date above will be revised when changes are made, and material changes will be notified in-app or by email.
